Fingers of light grasp,

Pulling back the sleep-covers
...The land breathes, wakens

Sweets, I really didn't think you'd do this haiku a day thing when I threw it out there, but I'm really glad you are. This one is the best one yet. Very nicely done! Wait, that's five syllables...I can use that. Delete, delete! Where's that delete button?!

Very nice! Is that from that little black haiku book with the lady on the front? I remember that book from the bookshelf in the living room.
