Mornez mahaha.
--What? You've never heard "good morning" in Bridigian, the language of western Ireland? =) Oh, okay, I'll admit that I'm not that smart-- a previous job is where I learned that oh-so-useful phrase.
I hope that you are enjoying a good weekend. This upcoming week will be a liiiitle different here in Blogopolis. I've been challenged to post a haiku a day for the next week. The gauntlet has been thrown down. So...(sound of echoing bugle call) let the First Annual November Haiku-a-Thon begin! And if anyone cares to join in, we can even have a Haiku Off. (cue "West Side Story" music with snapping)

Hello, Leprechaun
How are you this fine day?
Goodbye, Leprechaun
I can't quite remember the rules for Haiku. Refresh my memory, please.
Do the haikus have to be our originals?
Ah, we have some takers. I'm leaping to answer your questions...
Need not be your own
Five, seven, five syllables
Yep, that's all there is
I enjoy this blog
Posting here is so much fun
Thank you, Alison!
Did I do it right? I haven't done a haiku since I was in elementary school. smiles...
Grateful, I am now

My day spent wasting time here
I need to leave now...

you are having too much fun
with all the haikus
Daisy, silly pup
Yesterday you snuck around
and peed on my bed
going out to lunch
is fun but then i smell like
a blake's hamburger
haiku haiku hai
ku haiku haiku haiku
haiku haiku hai
i wrote dumb haikus
and even used just one word
i am a genius
beef pickles and bread
are sitting in my belly
i like hamburgers
hamburgers sound good
we three shall eat for dinner
thank you for the plan
Wow, y'all crack me up! I feel like I'm listening to some surreal, spoken-word haiku opera.
And does anyone else have the growing suspicion that Yoda was a haiku fan? When I read several of these, in my mind I hear them in Yoda's voice. Um, I think I need a nap now.
