Liza's Tears

Poor Liza Minelli. No one wanted to see her trot out her rapping skillz. Instead, you pollsters chose the Gaithers doing Bon Jovi. Very intriguing choice! Well, I'm sure Liza will recover soon. By the way, some of you may know that she had a very funny cameo role in a few episodes of "Arrested Development."

That's about it for now, unless you can suggest other singer/song pairings. ....Hmmm?

okay, I am just not good enough with music to be able to play this game, but I am disappointed that no one else has offered up any suggestions...

1800's for me! I always thought that with my big thighs and small waist that I was born in the wrong century. The fashions of that time would suit my body MUCH better. See I am a deep girl...it all comes back to fashion. :)

Ok fine...I'll play.

I always wanted to see Mozart do Beethoven's 5th.

Or Zamfir doing "You Rocked Me All Night Long" by AC/DC

"You SHOOK Me All Night Long"

...tard

Aretha Franklin doing Van Halen's "Jump" might as well jump

Well, Dav--I mean, Dan...the Zamfir thing is pretty creative.

Okay, Weird Al, Buck Owens, and Vanilla Ice as the Three Tenors.

random fact...
did I ever tell you all that Jacob and I saw Wierd Al? he was signing autographs at the BX on post. We were just going shopping and walked within 5 feet of him. BTW, I would NEVER have guessed that he had such a following!

We have tons of famous people there all the time, but he had 100's of people lined up waiting to get his autograph. I was shocked to see that it was Weird Al.

Go to Youtube and search for "White and Nerdy" and watch his video for that song. It is great - and also the ringtone when I call Kallena. Sounds like the original in case you don't keep up with the latest rap scene.

And finally how about Animal from Seasame Street being the drummer for any Celine Dion song.

...sigh...

Dan, it's a BLACKBERRY mocha, not a raspberry. Also Animal is from the MUPPETS.

(mumbling under my breath)
...some people...
stupid piebald brother...

Dave- Aren't the Muppets from Sesame Street?

Anonymous said...

True, the muppets did come from Seasame Street, but Animal did not appear until the pilot of the Muppet Show in 1975.

I know this because because us drummers stick together, you know. ;)

OK. I sit corrected.

If I hold so much wisdom, then why do I not get Dan's comment?

What does this mean?
(and christi wonders why there was not more participation...too much dave roaming around)

I'm confused (way to easy to get me this way)

How about an old classic like..."Home on the Range". I bet it would be hilarious sung by someone who can sing no better than me..........hhhhhhmmmmmmm

(at least he holds much wisdom)

"home on the range"......that was what? fifth grade? And the scary part is, I don't have anyone willing to sing with youth worship, so I end up playing the guitar AND singing. I sure hope those theologians are right when they say, "it says make a joyful noise, not make a good noise."
