14,600 ...

...sure beats our 3,650+ by a long shot. Days of marriage, that is. Happy 40th anniversary to my parents, Joel and Judy!

Congratulations. We're proud of you, and we love you.

Also, happy 12th anniversary to Daniel and Kara, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Popular day to get married apparently! Anyone care to share any "secrets of a happy marriage" stories --serious or humorous?

Many marriage counselors have said that the main 2 things that married people fight about is sex and money. In my marriage, we do not have either one so we have nothing to fight about! :)

Ditto on the Happy Anniversay wishes to Joel & Judy, as well as Dan & Kara!

Thanks, Jacque. Also, Happy Anniversary to Dan and Kara. We've never forgotten the date of your anniversary. Hope you had a memorable day.

Sorry, Alison, but I just realized we left out a big Thank You to you for mentioning our anniversary.

Our secret was to wait until we were old enough to know what we really wanted in life. It just happened to come after both of us lost spouses, but we'd known each other since the 6th grade so we had a past together.

I'm proud that your parents found a determination to succeed with their marriage. I offer my best wishes to your parents and I thank them for making God a priority in their lives. You have a good family and that is a tremendous blessing. They now have a legacy of faith that demonstrates how good God is to us all.

I don't want to forget Dan and Kara, either. I've really enjoyed getting to know them and I consider my life better for the opportunity to interact with them. Keep up the faith and stay strong!

Completely off topic:
How did you make your blog show the other links with updated posts? I want mine to do that also. And if it can't, I'm going to break your computer so you can't have it either...so there! (Feel free to delete this comment once you've answered it)

There's no breaking computers in Blogger! (Like, "There's no crying in baseball!" Never mind.)

In the Customize or Layout section, I went to "Add a Gadget". "Blog List" is one of the new toys. I just went there and you can add addresses in that. You'll also have a couple of options of how you want them to show up. So there.
